Studio Policy

Lesson

• Lesson will be held weekly for half hour (beginner to Level 3), forty-five minutes (Level 4 to 6) or one hour (Level 7 to 10 & teacher level) with exception by request from teacher/parents.​

• Students should arrive on time and prepared with all music books, theory, and assignment books for the lesson. Late students may forfeit their lessons.

• Theory assignment is to be completed at home and checked off (by parents) on completion.

• Online lesson is available upon request.

Missed lesson

• The teacher must be informed if student is going to miss the lesson. Unadvised absences will be charged for and not made up.

• If a lesson is to be missed due to unavoidable circumstances, please advise the teacher one day before the lesson.

• Makeup lessons will be given when the student gives advance notice and if the teacher is absent.

• The makeup lesson is to be completed within the month of absence during a time provided by the teacher.

• The makeup lesson can be done in the online format.

• If the makeup lesson is cancelled or missed by the student, the makeup lesson is forfeited.

Withdrawals

• Non-attendance is not the confirmation of withdrawal.

• Student/Parent has to give teacher one month notice in writing in advance to discontinue lessons.

Payment

• The lesson fee is agreed upon before the beginning of first lesson.

• Payment is required at the beginning of each month. If payment is not received on the first lesson of new student, teacher has the rights to cancel the lesson. Payment on a weekly basis is not permitted.

• Books, festivals and other fees will be billed separately.
